Acknowledgement of Country – Baird Bay Experience
We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waters that sustain our work and inspire our respect, the Wirangu people. We pay our deepest respects to their Elders past, present, and emerging and to all First Nations peoples who have cared for this coastline, its marine life, and the surrounding country for countless generations. We recognise their enduring connection to sea, land, sky, and story, and the strength of their cultural knowledge, which continues to enrich and guide all who visit this extraordinary place. May we walk together with respect, humility, and shared responsibility for this land and sea country and its future.
We’re pleased to share that Baird Bay is fortunately unaffected by the recent algal bloom affecting other parts of South Australia. Our waters remain pristine and healthy, with guests continuing to enjoy incredible, up-close encounters with wild sea lions and dolphins.
We’re actively monitoring the situation with local authorities and remain committed to the highest standards of safety and environmental care. Most importantly, we’re open, operating as normal, and ready to welcome you to the water.
Now is a great time to visit and support South Australia’s coastal communities, we’d love to see you at Baird Bay!
