Wild and unique: one tour – two amazing experiences.
Swim with Sea Lions and Dolphins in one tour
This is one of the few places you can swim with Sea Lions and Dolphins in one tour. This amazing experience is the perfect way to immerse yourself in nature and dive into Eyre Peninsula! Baird Bay Ocean Eco Experience is a wild interactive tour that’s second to none.
Totally wild and lots of fun!
Swimming with the Sea Lions and Dolphins in Baird Bay is a must do activity when travelling Eyre Peninsula. The interactive wildlife tour is safe, fun and a truely incredible and unique experience.
Nicknamed “the puppies of the sea” the Sea Lions are so playful and stunning to watch. We take a small boat out to Jones Island and see the Sea Lions in their natural habitat. After finding a safe spot to moor the boat we jump in the water and let the Sea Lions swim to us. The experience is all about letting these wild animals be in charge. We do not feed them, we swim in natural rock pools surrounding their island home. The whole Baird Bay Ocean Eco Experience is about meeting the Sea Lions and Dolphins on their terms, in their habitat.
⚠️ We only have Telstra phone reception at Baird Bay. We do not have Vodaphone or Optus meaning you cannot pay through your phone. Cash or Card is ideal.
“A must-do when travelling Eyre Peninsula!”

Swim with Sealions Eyre Peninsula
Eyre Peninsula is famous in Australia for being one of the best places to swim with sealions. These untrained, completely wild sealions are known as the “puppies of the sea” for good reason. Playing with the sealions in the shallow waters of Jones Island is an unforgettable experience.

Eyre Peninsula Swim with Sea Lions and Dolphins
The town of Baird Bay is a small outlying holiday village 50kms south of Streaky Bay. It is really secluded, which means the beach is pristine, the wildlife is abundant and the privacy is unmatched.
“This is a must-do experience if you’re on the West Coast, the Dolphins and Sea Lions really do play with you in the water” – Eyre Peninsula
These lovable, curious creatures are so intrigued by us that they’ve begun bringing their babies over to ‘meet the humans’ – Australian Traveller
Wild interactive tour in South Australia’s pristine waters
Most bucket lists include swimming with Dolphins or swimming with Sea Lions, and we believe this is the best place to do it. Small intimate groups mean you get to swim with these wild ocean animals without clusters of people around you. You get one on one time with the animals, and don’t need to stay trapped in a group.
This is not a zoo or enclosed area. This is the West Coast of the unspoiled Eyre Peninsula and you have the opportunity to interact with some of the most intelligent marine mammals on earth, in their home, at their invitation. They are wild and interact with us out of pure curiosity. This is a wonderful experience for people of all ages, from the children to the Grandparents; everyone will love it!
